Which network requests does the extension make?
Only to sites you chose yourself: downloading an icon image whose URL you provide, fetching the favicon of sites added to your page (then kept locally), and periodically refreshing the RSS/Atom feeds you subscribed to. For videos, the title and thumbnail are read from the video site, and its player is only loaded when you start playback.
